About the project
The Splash Awards are a series of global events that celebrate the best websites running on Drupal, an open source platform. Since the brand is growing globally the organisation looked for a rebrand of the event for a more versatile, timeless look.
The new logo
The new logo is an homage to the well-loved old brand: a splash shaped like a crown. The icon is a stylistic representation of a splash and a crown, combined with a drop that represents Drupal.
Versatile and open source
The Splash Awards are an international event and the community encourages countries and regions to organize their own. To help local organizers we created a large amount of flexible, open source, brand assets.
Release
The new logo was first revealed during the Dutch Splash Award in Utrecht, the Netherlands, in June 2019. The first rebranded event, the International Splash Awards, took place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, on October 28th 2019.
