Illustrations for ‘Power Up: A Collective Leadership Development Ecosystem for Colorado’
About the project
Poder Colorado is a collective formed to use the combined expertise, experience, passion and personal networks of five women, deeply connected to community, leadership development, health equity and co-creation through human-centered design, to conceive a new leadership development ecosystem. I created a set of five illustrations for their document ‘Power Up: A Collective Leadership Development Ecosystem for Colorado’.

The illustrations
The illustrations are inspired by Colorado nature and the strong Coloradans who have historically had less power and privilege. They tell stories about leadership, journeys and community, whilst embracing the natural theme. To honor the background of the women in the illustrations, I designed a set of papel picados, a decorative paper craft, to use as a decorative element.
